Cheese Quesadillas are a simple, tasty snack made with melted cheese sandwiched between crispy tortillas. Perfect as an appetizer, quick lunch, or party snack!
- 4 medium flour tortillas
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)
- 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
- Optional toppings: sour cream, salsa, guacamole
- Prepare the pan: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter or olive oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
- Assemble the quesadilla: Place one tortilla in the skillet, sprinkle with half the shredded cheese, then place a second tortilla on top.
- Cook the quesadilla: Cook for 2-3 minutes, pressing down gently, until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese is melting. Flip carefully and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side.
- Serve: Remove from the skillet and cut into wedges. Serve your Cheese Quesadillas with sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.
