BBQ Ribs Recipe

BBQ Ribs are tender, flavorful pork ribs coated in a smoky dry rub and finished with a rich BBQ sauce. Perfect for gatherings, these ribs are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser with their fall-off-the-bone texture and tangy-sweet glaze.

  • 2 racks of pork ribs (about 4 pounds total)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Prepare the ribs: Preheat the oven to (150°C). Remove the thin membrane from the back of each rib rack. Rub both sides of the ribs with olive oil.
  • Season the ribs: In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using. Generously rub the spice mixture all over both sides of the ribs.
  • Bake the ribs: Wrap each rack in aluminum foil, sealing the edges tightly. Place the ribs on a baking sheet and bake for 2.5 hours, or until the meat is tender and almost falling off the bone.
  • Add BBQ sauce: Preheat a grill to medium heat (or set your oven to broil). Carefully unwrap the ribs and brush a thick layer of BBQ sauce on both sides. Grill or broil the ribs for 5-10 minutes per side, basting with additional BBQ sauce as desired until caramelized and sticky.
  • Serve: Let the BBQ Ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side and enjoy!
