- 1 cup eggnog
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Butter or oil, for cooking
- For Serving:
- Maple syrup , Powdered sugar
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Prepare the eggnog mixture: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggnog, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
- Dip the bread: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a little butter or oil. Dip each slice of bread into the eggnog mixture, coating both sides, but don’t let it soak too long to avoid sogginess.
- Cook the French toast: Place the dipped bread slices onto the hot skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve: Serve the Eggnog French Toast warm with maple syrup, powdered sugar, and whipped cream if desired.
