Pigs in a Blanket are a classic party snack featuring mini sausages wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough. These fun, bite-sized treats are perfect for gatherings, game days, or as an easy appetizer.
- 1 package mini sausages or cocktail sausages (about 16)
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for brushing)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional)
- etchup or mustard, for dipping
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Cut each triangle into 2-3 smaller strips, depending on the size of your sausages.
- Wrap the sausages: Place a mini sausage on each strip of dough and roll it up, pressing gently to seal the edges. Place each wrapped sausage seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush and sprinkle: Brush the tops of each piece with beaten egg, then sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds if desired.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the sausages are heated through.
- Serve: Serve your Pigs in a Blanket hot with ketchup or mustard for dipping.
